2023 Landscape and Garden Design Trends

Unfortunately, in the USA we can often see home owners invest heavily in the interior. And the backyard and all the landscape design are, at best, just well cleaned, and their time has passed 20-25 years ago. It's time to change something, because 2023 offers too many interesting and sustainable trends.

Eco-friendly in trend

Now let's talk about how important it is to have as much greenery as possible in your backyard or patio. Now everything will look like a well-groomed jungle, but this is very fashionable in 2023:

  • Swimming pool in the middle of a green lawn. This is not a pond, but a full-fledged hydraulic structure with appropriate hygienic cleanliness. It's just that you will go out with your feet not on the tiles, but on the pleasant grass.
  • Large stones are returning again, but this time they are not collected in large heaps, as it was before in the rock garden, but walls need to be built from them, braiding them with ampelous plants. It looks so Mediterranean!
  • The isolation of the family from the problems of the outside world is one of the main trends. To make this a reality in your patio or backyard, combine the BBQ area, benches, and fireplace under one huge canopy, as far away from the house as possible. And let a fence of bushes surround you. But it will be complete confidentiality and tranquility.
  • This year never ceases to amaze. If your garden or green labyrinth is too dark, you should use mirrors or mirrored surfaces to brighten the space.
  • Another trend in modern landscape design is solar-powered lamps, but disguised as various objects. And let it be a thin-walled pumpkin hanging from the branches of a tree or some kind of garden figure. All this will look very relevant and unusual. You should calculate the lighting so that the area is well lit at night, but do not forget about excessive brightness.

Your own landscape

Trends are really good. But you should not act blindly trusting various ideas. You can change them at your own discretion, rearrange certain elements. After all, this is not your landscape, your backyard and patio will not match the size and geometric shapes. Put your own meaning in every idea.
